About the same amount as the second book, but less than the first one. Liv's internal monologues were fun, I liked the dream setting and most of the characters as well.

Henry got better than in book tow, but I wasn't his biggest fan still. I still like Grayson the most of all of the boys.

He and Mia especially are probabl Coming into this book after reading so many bad 2 star reviews, I expected to like this one even less than book two.

He and Mia especially are probably my favourite characters from the series. On the negative side: the plot was way too predictable.

The revelation of Secrecy wasn't surprising either. The storyline also focused a bit too much on romance than it did before.

The whole 'Rasmus problem' and the MC's resolution to the whole situation, which she in the end didn't end up doing, was just To make up moronic plotline for the rest of the book?

Why was she so insecure about it? And her solution was moronic too. She decided to just sleep with some guy in the dreams so she won't have to tell Henry she lied about having an ex.

I guess it tried to be fun, and the book was still very funny at places, but this thing was stupid as hell.

It's the same thing I was so mad about in book two - Henry making out or almost making out or sleeping with someone in the dream world and then saing 'it doesn't count' basically, while Liv was upset of course.

And then, book three and she plans to do the same and doesn't even notice the irony? I haven't forgiven Henry for the crap in book two and this is no different.

As I really do love everything else about her books. Overall: a fun read that I especially think would appeal to younger audience of the YA genre.

I particularly loved the flight metaphor. When Liv talked about it and no one understood what she was blabbing on about, I was on the other side of the book dying of laughter.

Liv I also can't with Henry and Grayson, both the sweetest and cutest. Henry is my book boyfriend awww. I predicted most of the pl OMG I will miss everyone and the dream corridor so badly!

I hope that Kerstin Gier is writing another YA trilogy. Those acknowledgements. I was a bit afraid of reading this book for several reasons.

It is the last fantasy book by Kerstin Gier I hadn't read yet, so after this I would be done : And I've heard from some people they were disappointed by this book, so I was a bit hesitant.

I'm so glad I liked it. I liked the ending. I don't really like the blog-ending, but the story lines with the characters give me the closure I need at the end of a series.

Great job Kerstin Gier, I love you and your writing! Please write more? Mar 14, Antonia rated it liked it. Before he fell hopelessly in love with Anabel and then realized that he had been exploited, manipulated, and misused for her purposes.

Where would we be if everyone who suffered a bitter disappointment automatically mutated into a criminal? I'm sooo sad this fell a little flat for me.

I LOVED the first two installments, I knew they weren't great pieces of fiction but they were fun and quirky and they gave me that fluffy home-feeling.

I thought this book lost itself in its twists and turns, which also were pretty repetitive, and just had too many storylines happening all at once.

I loved this series completely because of its characters, I didn't care about the whole demon thing at all. While with the first two books I kinda felt like they knew their strengths and were more about said characters than a "real" fantasy novel, this one had to wrap it all up and that just didn't work for me.

There was the main storyline which was meh and then there were wayyy too many side stories happening. Also that virginity thing?

Tacky af. But this book is older so I'll forgive it. I'm still super happy I read this trilogy as it was such fun and gave me a nice feeling.

I'd totally recommend this, especially the audiobooks were really nice! Just don't expect too much from the conclusion.

I loved this book, I couldn't put it down. It was funny, exciting, and I still love every character. I love the Silber trilogy, and her other series, Precious Stone trilogy too.

I really like the way she writes, and her humour is fantastic. Ohhh, and the covers are so beautiful, I could sit and watch them all day long.

Aug 25, Zoha rated it it was ok Shelves: Stunning cover but stupid story! It is a shame how this series keep getting worse with each book.

Still Henry is bae! I just love the book. Jan 13, Mel rated it really liked it Shelves: 4-stars , owned , read-in I definitely liked the first book in this series the best, but this was a solid conclusion!

I don't have a ton to say but I will add a bit more to it tomorrow. This is part of my quest to finish series before I start any more.

It's hard but I'm one step closer. Nov 09, Claire bookscoffeeandrepeat rated it it was ok Shelves: fantasy , parnormal-or-horror-or-supernatural , young-adult.

Just Dreaming? I think you mean, Just Annoying. The book isn't bad. It's just that It's just difficult to keep reading when I'm not a fan of any of the characters in this book.

These are her usual emotions throughout the book. And horny. He's just like an angry Charlotte Ruby Red who doesn't really know what to do with his anger.

Need I go on? They're all the same since the first book. Not quite surprising though. I smelled it from a mile away.

Also, just like To All the Boys I've Loved Before , the little sister is a lot more smarter and sensible than the older sister.

I hope this won't turn into a trope. I know that "the most stupid" isn't exactly a word. BUT the most stupid character is Liv. If I'm not listening to the audiobook, then I wouldn't be finishing this series.

Needless to say, I don't think I'll be reading any more books from Kerstin Gier. Also, if you're still a fan of the series, I made a playlist of the first book.

Click here to check it out! Unfortunately, there's not enough Grayson x Liv scenes in my opinion. I'm one of those weird people who ship non-canon characters.

It's so wrong but do I care? Hell no. Feb 16, Amelia Oswald rated it it was ok Shelves: young-adult , fantasy , trilogy , meh , read-in Well this is a sad excuse for book 3 to be honest.

I mean it almost didn't have anything in this. I was disappointed in this book. Jun 17, Bettielee rated it it was ok Shelves: fantasy.

A lot of fat shaming. Nov 04, Danielle rated it really liked it. I didn't enjoy the characters as much but I did enjoy the ending.

I'm sad that we didn't get to see more of Henry and Liv's relationship grow. I'm glad this series is finally off my TBR but I wish it had been more of a satisfying conclusion.

Just as the two previous books Love the focus on friendship and family! Okay, I have mixed feelings about this book.

But let's start with the Cover. It is drop-dead gorgeous! All the little details and Barcelona being on the cover. Safe to say, I love the cover art of this series.

I'm a bit sad, but I have to say, this book was just a tad bit underwhelming. I loved this book. But I probably do, because I just adore the humour of Kerstin Gier.

I really like her unique writing style. And she accomplishes to make me love a book I think I should only 'like'. It was good plotwise.

The characters were great, just as in the first two books. But there wasn't much action sometimes. I do know what people may not like about this book, but I did.

Especially the whole Liv - Grayson thingy. I really liked how it ended. And I do agree that they would probably be a cute couple.

But I liked that there wasn't much happening between them. I felt like if there would be something, it would be just another YA love-triangle book.

I didn't want it to be. I adore how Grayson can just be a great friend and a supportive and attentive brother.

But at the same time, I think I might've liked it even more if I read it right after the second one because the hype around it and the feelings were still fresh.

So to conclude this review: I liked this book a lot. Kerstin Gier is an awesome author, I adore her writing style and her characters, she has amazing ideas and I will definitely read future books by her.

Not bad but I wish the story would have revolved more around the dream thing instead of the teen-love-stuff Aug 28, Amy rated it it was ok Shelves: cotton-candy , ya , what-might-have-been , german , curiosity-killed-the-cat.

I wish more of the reviews of this book were written in English Am I happy? Am I frustrated? Did I love it? Did I hate it?

I don't really know! Gier is a fantastic writer with a good translator and even when she is writing utter nonsense, I get sucked in. The characters can be whiny and annoying and Illogical but gosh darn it I would have kept reading even if there were a hundred more pages It wasn't so much that I cared what happe I wish more of the reviews of this book were written in English It wasn't so much that I cared what happened next as I enjoyed the world this author creates within her story.

And to be honest, it is a good thing I didn't particularly care what happened next because nothing really does. This is a very slow paced plot, pushed along with lame side stories who is Secrecy?

Will Liv overcome her feelings of inferiority because she is a virgin? Will Lottie leave the family? The characters and their unwillingness to believe in the demon makes it hard as a reader to take it seriously either Liv is as naive and dimwitted as ever.

You would think she would have picked up some street smarts living all over the world. Her idiotic "inferiority" complex because of her virginity seriously pissed me off and brought this book down a star.

She is a little Mary Sue who is definetely not emotionally mature enough to have a boyfriend, much less sleep with him. Henry continues to be teenage girl wish-fullfilment with a "dark, brooding past" heavily thrown in for good measure.

I got so tired of him. Same with Arthur. Like, talk about a confusing character, and not in a good way.

His motivation made no sense. I liked Grayson. A lot. He saved this book for me. I even enjoyed Florence and Emily; at least those two had somewhat believable motivation.

GraysonxMia, though? That is pushing it. Final book of the trilogy. After being disappointed by the second book I maintained hope and hope the 2nd book was just a fling.

The 3rd book wasn't amazing but definitely better than the 2nd one. The only difference is that Jasper has comeback from France and that Anabel has left the psychiatric center.

Hmm also Secrecy's identity is revealed. GOOD : Good thing is that the pace is better in this book and more things happen overall.

It made the reading much easier. BAD : I didn't like how things were resolved I think if the author had added more shocking value to them or less plot holes I don't know.

I wasn't convinced. I Love That Book! Great conclusion to the series! I recommend this series to everyone who's in for a love, some romance, friendship, great family dynamics and some mystery.

The main thing I can say about these books and this is no exception is that they are fun. The characters are fun, the humor is great, even when the story is not that exciting but it had a nice ending.

I enjoyed myself a lot! May 13, Jessica Robbins rated it really liked it. This book is actually tremendously better than the second novel in the series, that said, it still doesn't compare to the first novel in the series.

I wanted to read this because the Ruby Red Series by the same author was just phenomenal, but this trilogy doesn't even compare to the first series released by the author.

If this had stayed an individual title minus the last scene in the first book which left a cliffhanger to extend the series I'd have a lot higher opinion of the story as a whole This book is actually tremendously better than the second novel in the series, that said, it still doesn't compare to the first novel in the series.

If this had stayed an individual title minus the last scene in the first book which left a cliffhanger to extend the series I'd have a lot higher opinion of the story as a whole because the first novel had everything it needed to be a standalone title and the majority of my issues with the series occur in the second two titles in the series.

It reads almost like she was contracted for a trilogy even though the story just didn't have a trilogy in it and the author tried to extend it anyway.

The third novel thankfully has no more vocabulary lessons, so that alone was a massive improvement over the second novel.

It was greatly appreciated, additionally Liv, found at least a portion of her brain that went missing in the second book, though unfortunately she didn't find all of it because she's still not as intelligent in this novel as she was in the first.

What's strange about this character and the way she's written is that throughout the series she goes both forwards and backwards.

She regresses in multiple areas like strength and intelligence, but grows in others. It's hard to explain, but I'll try anyway.

Where Liv grows as a character is her maturity in male and female relationships. This is not to say she's somehow become mature at the end of the novel because she's still miles behind where her real life peers are when it comes to interpersonal relationships but comparative to the character we're initially introduced to there's massive improvement.

When we first meet Liv in the first book romantic relationships are a complete mystery, not just in the she hasn't had one department, but she doesn't really understand why anyone would want one.

She's like a little kid in a teenage body that hasn't surpassed the boys have cooties stage of development.

Throughout the series, she not only gains a boyfriend, but learns how to actually communicate with him. She definitely takes some massive wrong turns on the way to getting there, some of which lead to some ridiculous, though extremely humorous scenes, but she gets there.

Additionally she's not the only one in the relationships taking wrong turns so that's at least something.

While sex is a big topic continuously discussed throughout the series, she still doesn't strike me as being ready to go there when the series ends, but she does give this impression that she eventually will be.

I'm not sure that makes much sense, and as a parent I don't really think sexual relationships between teens should be a goal, but when they first start mentioning sex, Liv really doesn't give the impression that she'll ever be truly ready for that step and clueless doesn't even begin to describe it.

When the story ends she's at a place where she's not ready yet, but it wouldn't surprise you if she took that step a few months after the story ends.

I mention this part of it not because I think it should be a goal, but because the character obsesses on the topic so much that the author has somehow made it into a goal.

The problem with this being a series is that romantic maturity is the only place Liv actually gains in this book.

In the first novel, Liv seems to be the only one with any sense of the six characters initially involved with dream walking and demonic rituals.

Anabelle and the boys are all convinced their lives are being controlled by a demon, Liv is the only one who's sensible enough to realize demons aren't real.

She can't explain the dream walking and in fact the how of this is never actually explained in the series which I felt was a bit of a cop out by the author but she's sensible enough to realize the likelihood that their rituals are actually doing something is slim.

It's Henry, Grayson, Jasper, Arthur and Annabelle who believe whole heartedly that this demon exist and Liv spends much of the book trying to prove otherwise.

In this novel, Liv is almost as easily manipulated as the highly unstable psychiatric patient Annabelle, while Grayson, Henry and even the antagonist Arthur are constantly telling how ridiculous she is in even considering the demons exist.

She's proven once that there are no demons, but suddenly she believes in them and needs to be comforted by the big strong men in her life that they don't actually exist.

The same men who were convinced the existed in the first novel.

Personal Quote: I'm asked all the time in interviews about who I am, and I know a few people my age who have a strong sense of self, but I couldn't say I know myself and sum it up and give it to you in a little package.

I don't know myself at all yet. Trivia: At age eight, Stewart was discovered by a talent agent while singing in a school play.

It actually sounded quite good. There were worse names for imaginary ex-boyfriends. Sir-Barks-Alot, for example.

Did you like him? Yeah, sure. Maybe a bit intrusive. So possessive. The Wakefields had spoiled him completely. Please don't. Next she'll talk about his blue tongue.

The ending was just lazy: all that build-up, to have things be solved so I ended up buying the hardcover edition on an impulse, mostly because I happened to be in Munich at the time of its release Plus, it was the first thing I saw when I would enter any bookstore.

The finale was really, really underwhelming and there was constantly something missing in the pages before then.

Also, there was absolutely nothing between Grayson and Liv. I am kind of disappointed, to say the least.

This book would ALSO be times better, if Mia was the main character and we get to see her tackle life in that weird, quirky, yet kickass way of hers.

I could usually forgive that because some characters are purposely made to be unlikable or flawed, but they show character development later on.

More details in the spoilers section at the bottom of the review. This book was disappointing to say the least.

It had such HUGE potential — admittedly, mainly because her other series kicked assss. The main character, the focus on petty characters, the bad romance were… unpleasant.

There were a few merits, yes, which were revealed near the end, but other than that, terrible. Angst level? Cheating, yes, in a way.

First, can I just say that I dislike seeing Liv panic and be so weak after lying to Henry that she had a boyfriend and that she had sex before That boyfriend was nonexistent.

And the lying about not being a virgin and being so insecure about being a virgin — can we just not?

Can a girl not put her worth on a boy? Can a girl not put her worth on the amount of sex she has had? Anyway, while lying about it and worrying about it so much throughout this entire book was not pleasant to read about, it could be worse.

And I suppose girls, particularly high school girls, COULD realistically be insecure about that not everyone is like that obviously, but I will not discount the ones who do feel that way.

It sucks, but it is a true show of emotion and internal conflict, so I get it. Well, it did. So this is the part that really bothered me.

So in this insecurity, Liv decided she was going to get some experience before she has sex with her boyfriend. She does that via dream, with her new hot, arrogant neighbor, Matt.

She tries to seduce Matt in her dream and have sex with him. Her intentions were impure and idiotic. Basically, I just wished Mia was the main character as she abhors romance and people doing stupid things for love — but I would enjoy seeing her learn to accept romance despite her no-nonsense brain.

It should be quite comical and sweet, I think. In addition, if she and Grayson have something? Medium angst.

I was thinking it might be Mia because of the comments about Gil and Hazel, but idk idk. I'm confused. Talks of sex but no actual sex scenes.

Final book. More humor, more intrigues, more efforts from Russian translator. But not all the dreams come true, so the third installment of Silber is less funny than the first one and less creepy than the second and has nothing in which he's 'more' than its predecessors.

What do we have? Liv is freaking out because of her virginity which was funny from time to time but also lame , Grayson is researching sects out of the main picture , Henry is planning sex-weekend with Liv while adults are planning the wedding, Mia's fine, Jasper is back but you'll see him only on a few pages how generous it is of the author , Emily's stalking Grayson, Florence pulls OOC on, Persephone does the same, so does Lottie, Anabel is going mad herself, Arthur is driving mad everyone else.

Meanwhile people are chatting, Secrecy is posting on her blog, Anabel is waiting for her demon to show up, guys are trying to neutralize Arthur, Mia's following the local Gossip Girl's internet-prints.

And everything's kinda meh. Not bad, no. But there's no desire not to let the book out of hands. What I disliked : — Russian translation.

Seems like our publisher was in a super hurry, 'cause I'm sure their proofreader definitely hasn't seen the text. Wrong meaning, odd wording, cringe-worthy things.

The book is beautiful, yeah. But it doesn't help with unreadability. Look at this bookmarks. Each refers to the bad translation.

Just dreaming was a good conclusion to the trilogy. Questions were answered, some twists and turns, and overall just a great enjoyable reading experience!

View 1 comment. I finished this damn audio book. Took long enough. I really liked the first book in this series, the second one was ok, but this one My audio book had tracks and you could have told the whole story with probably only 20 of those.

The rest was just unnecessary, tiring stuff. Like this whole Henry and Liv story. Oh, btw! Liv is the most stupid character of all time.

She notices nothing. You could wear a t-shirt that says "I'm the evil person" and she would be like "hey, person with the t-shirt, let's go looking for the evil guy".

Also this book is supposed to be the conclusion of the story, but it still let me with so many open question. Then there was this "big finale" which was pretty anticlimactic.

Somehow in the course of the series even the little sister's intelligence far surpasses our main character. Self uncredited. This is part of my quest to finish series before I start any. I wish more of the reviews of this book were written in English I guess it tried to be fun, and the book was still very funny at places, but this thing was stupid as hell.
